Art vs. science: AI in controlling
At the ManCon Congress on June 11, everything will once again revolve around the future of finance and controlling. In our presentation, we will therefore shed light on the topic of "AI in controlling". In search of meaningful applications for generative AI, Christian Kruse, a long-standing FI/CO expert, will be discussing the topic with AI expert Ian Shulman.
The focus of their conversation:
- How will AI change work in controlling? Will bots take over routine tasks in the future?
- What useful applications are already available today?
- What do concrete use cases powered by OpenAI look like?
- What needs to be considered during implementation?

Christian Kruse is a member of the executive board of celver AG and has been advising international clients as a specialist for complex analysis, planning and forecasting solutions for more than 20 years. The core objective for him is to use innovative methods and technologies to create customized solutions that form the basis for data-driven decisions.
Ian Shulman is a Data Scientist at celver with a particular focus on text generation using Large Language Models. He focuses on simplifying complex and cumbersome processes through machine learning approaches and using data science methods to extract new insights from the data.
